Gio Gonzalez will be hoping to get his third win in three games when the Washington Nationals face the Atlanta Braves on Sunday, who will have Aaron Harang on the mound.

Gio Gonzalez is now 2-0 on the season after he and the Nats were able to beat the Miami Marlins 5-0 last Tuesday. The 28-year-old lefty gave up no runs in six innings of work and struck out five while walking two. Through 12 innings of work on the season, he has a 0.75 ERA and has struck out 11 hitters.

Atlanta's Dan Uggla is usually a good hitter against lefties, but Gonzalez has had his number through their first 23 matchups. Uggla has just one hit off of him and has struck out six times.

Aaron Harang took the loss the last time he went to the mound, but he gave up just one hit over six innings against the Mets. He did walk four, but he was able to make up for those walks with nine strikeouts. He goes into the game against Washington with a 0.71 ERA through 12.2 innings pitched.

Nats first baseman Adam LaRoche has had success against Harang in his career and has eight hits, including four home runs and seven RBI. Jayson Werth has a home run and a triple against Harang in his career, but those are two of just three hits he has against him in 19 at-bats.
