Two teams on opposite ends of the spectrum meet up Tuesday for a 4-game set in Tampa Bay. After going for broke and depleting their farm system in 2012 just to fail to make the playoffs yet again, Toronto finds themselves with a consistently average roster with little hope for the future. The Rays on the other hand are World Series favorites who could deal David Price at any time to return even more offensive firepower.

The Blue Jays send Drew Hutchison to the hill after a year away from the majors to rehab from Tommy John surgery. Hutchison showed promise before the injury, going 5-3 in 11 starts in 2012. Still, the young right hander is only 23-years old and has showed promise this Spring, allowing just 3 runs over 15 innings pitched. Only the Rays' Ben Zobrist, Matt Joyce, and Sean Rodriguez have ever faced Hutchison with none of them being able to reach base in 6 combined AB's.

Alex Cobb is the Rays starting pitcher as he tries to improve on an 11-3 record a year ago. Those numbers could have been better had Cobb not missed two months from June 15th to August 15th after being struck in the head by a line drive and suffering a concussion. Still, Cobb was able to compile a 5-1 record in his nine starts after the incident including winning three straight to end the year. Cobb was also 1-0 against Toronto, going 6.1 innings and allowing just 3 hits in a 4-3 Rays victory.
