The Toronto Blue Jays will send their 14-year veteran Mark Buehrle to the mound to face 24-year-old Matt Moore and the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday night. Buehrle didn't have his most effective season in 2013, but he was still able to go over the 200 inning mark for the 13th consecutive year. He ended up going 12-10 for Toronto with a 4.15 ERA and a 1.345 WHIP in 33 starts.

Buehrle may find the Rays to be a tough test because they have had plenty of success against him in the past. Evan Longoria has faced him 28 times in his career and has eight hits, including one home run. David DeJesus is one player that Buehrle seems to dominate, only giving up 14 hits to him in 83 plate appearances.

Matt Moore was a huge reason why the Rays were able to make it to the playoffs last year, going 17-4 in just his second season as a regular starter. He had some issues with control, though, which led to him leading the league in wild pitches with 17. He ended up with the ninth-most votes in the AL Cy Young award voting.

Moore definitely does not like to face Edwin Encarnacion, who has had two singles, one home run and eight walks against him in 17 career plate appearances. Colby Rasmus, on the other hand, hasn't done too well against Moore, getting just one hit in 10 at-bats.
