Despite trade talk perpetually all off-season David Price has stayed with the Rays, the team on most experts' short list to be 2014 World Series Champions. Toronto flirted early in the year with being a contender in the AL East but eventually faltered as they've been prone to do and finished in the cellar yet again.

Price makes his third opening day start for Tampa Bay after a disappointing season in the win loss column in 2013. Price managed just a 10-8 record in what was supposed to be a successful follow up to a 20 victory, Cy-Young award winning campaign in 2012. On paper the big left hander's statistics were comparable to 2012, posting a 3.33 ERA compared to 2.56 and allowing only 5 more hits all season with 4 CG as opposed to 2. Either way it's a bounce-back year for Price who is still very much in trade discussions as Tampa looks to bolster their offense.

R.A. Dickey was a workhorse for Toronto last year, starting a career high 34 games, but the knuckleballer still couldn't emulate the success he had in New York in 2012, winning the Cy Young Award and 20 games for the Mets. The AL proved to be still pretty familiar with Dickey's knuckleball after a 3-year sabbatical to the NL as his 4.21 ERA was the highest since 2009. One team who hasn't grasped Dickey's signature pitch yet is the Rays who have a combined .164 BA in 165 plate appearances. Dickey was 3-1 against Tampa a year ago in 5 starts including a shutout in June.
