On Wednesday night, former Cy Young award winner R.A. Dickey (9-11) will attempt to pick up his first August win when he and the Toronto Blue Jays go up against Hisashi Iwakuma (10-6) and the Seattle Mariners.

R.A. Dickey had a decent game against the Detroit Tigers last Friday and ended up with a no decision for his efforts. He pitched six innings in that outing and gave up two earned runs on five hits while walked four and striking out six. He currently has a 3.99 ERA on the year and his 3.2 walks per nine innings is his highest walk rate since 2009.

Mariners outfielder Austin Jackson has three hits in nine at-bats against Dickey in his career with a double, a home run and two RBI. First baseman Kendrys Morales is just 3-for-13 against him with a walk and two strikeouts.

Third-year starter Hisashi Iwakuma had a very good game against the Chicago White Sox last Friday and came away with his 10th win of the season. He pitched seven innings in that start and gave up just one run while walking no one and striking out three. His ERA is now down to 2/86 on the season and he has only given up 118 hits in 132.1 innings.

Blue Jays outfielder Colby Rasmus is hitless against Iwakuma in 11 at-bats with no walks and four strikeouts. Catcher Dioner Navarro is 1-for-3 against Iwakuma and is the only player on the Blue Jays who has hit a home run off of him.
