Friday afternoon, Marcus Stroman and the Toronto Blue Jays will square off against Tommy Milone and the Oakland Athletics. Stroman will be making his 7 ^th start and 12^th appearance as Milone makes his 16^th start.

Marcus Stroman pitched to a no-decision in his last outing and that held his record at 4 - 2 with a 4.01 ERA. In his last outing, Stroman allowed just 2 runs on 2 hits in 6.2 innings as he walked 2 and struck out 6. Stroman's last start was pretty good and he deserved the win for his efforts. But he is still giving the Blue Jays some quality starts and should continue to impress as the season goes on.

Stroman hasn't faced the A's before so he will need to focus on the scouting report to gain an edge on Oakland.

Tommy Milone added another win in his last outing and that took his record to 6 -3 with a 3.79 ERA. In the win, Milone went 7 innings and surrendered 3 runs and 4 hits (including a homer) as he walked 2 and struck out 3. Milone hasn't lost a start since the beginning of May, with 6 wins and 4 no-decisions in that span of time. Last season, Milone was 12 - 9 with a 4.14 ERA in 26 starts and 2 relief appearances.

Milone didn't face the Blue Jays in 2013 but he has seen many of the Toronto hitters before. Edwin Encarnacion is 2 for 5 with 2 homers and 5 RBIs against Milone.
