Thursday night, the Toronto Blue Jays will give the ball to R.A. Dickey (13 - 12, 3.84 ERA) as they face the New York Yankees and Shane Greene (5 – 3, 3.56 ERA).   Dickey will make his 32nd start as Greene makes his 13th start and 14th appearance.

R.A. Shane Greene ended his 2 game losing streak by getting the victory in his last outing.  In the win, Greene surrendered 2 runs on 7 hits (including a homer) through 5.1 innings.  He walked a batter and struck out 9. Greene has handled his ascension to the Majors fairly well, with only a few rough starts this season. Before getting the call, he went 5 – 2 with a 4.61 ERA in 13 starts and 2 relief appearances.

Greene made just one start against the Blue Jays earlier this season and he didn’t get the decision in that start after allowing 3 runs and 8 hits (including a homer) in 5.1 innings.
