On Monday night, big left-hander J.A. Happ will attempt to win his eighth game of the year when he and the Toronto Blue Jays face nine-game winner Jered Weaver and the Los Angeles Angels.

In his last start, J.A. Happ gave up four runs in his seven innings of work against the Milwaukee Brewers and ended up with a no decision. He allowed six hits in that outing and struck out four batters while walking no one. Happ has a 7-4 record for the Blue Jays this season and he has struck out 61 batters in 72 innings.

Angels catcher Chris Iannetta has two hits in five at-bats against Happ with a three walks, a home run and two RBI. David Freese is just 2-for-7 against him with three walks and five strikeouts.

Veteran Jered Weaver gave up five runs in 5.2 innings against the Chicago White Sox on the road last week, but his offense helped him out and he came away with the win. He gave up nine hits in that game and walked no one while striking out six. On the season, Weaver has given up just 102 hits in 116.1 innings while striking out 92.

Blue Jays first baseman Adam Lind has nine hits in his 26 at-bats against Weaver with three doubles, two home runs and six RBI. Outfielder Melky Cabrera is 3-for-21 against him in his career with two strikeouts.
