On Thursday night, Mark Buehrle will be looking to bounce back from his worst start of the season when he and the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Kansas City Royals and their young fireballer Yordano Ventura.

Mark Buehrle's winning streak ended at four last Friday as he picked up the loss against the Boston Red Sox. He got through just 5.1 innings in that game and gave up seven runs (six earned) on a season-high 12 hits and struck out none while walking three. Even with that bad loss, though, he still has a 2.16 ERA on the season.

Billy Butler has 20 hits in 60 at-bats against Buehrle with two doubles, three home runs and 15 RBI. Omar Infante has had a tougher time figuring out the lefty, going just 2-for-17 against him with two strikeouts.

Yordano Ventura was excellent in his last outing as he was able to go eight shutout innings against the Baltimore Orioles. He gave up seven hits in that game and was able to strike out eight Orioles while walking just two. He lowered his season ERA to 1.80 and has struck out 9.7 batters per nine innings.

This will be the first time that the Blue Jays have faced Ventura. They can expect a consistent 97 mph fastball, which he throws nearly 60% of the time, and and 87 mph changeup.
