On Thursday night, Drew Hutchison (7-9) will get the start for the Toronto Blue Jays when they take on Jarred Cosart (9-7) and the Houston Astros.

Drew Hutchison picked up his seventh win of the year last Saturday when he was able to go on the road and beat the New York Yankees. He pitched 6.2 innings in that start and allowed just two runs on five base hits while walking three batters and striking out seven. His ERA is now 4.44 on the season and he has struck out 109 hitters in 119.2 innings.

The Astros will be getting their first chance to go up against Hutchison on Thursday night. Right-handed hitters are batting .254 against him, while left-handed hitters have a .262 batting average against him.

Second-year starter Jarred Cosart had a rough outing against the Miami Marlins on Saturday and ended up losing for the seventh time this season. He went 5.2 innings in that outing and gave up five earned runs on seven hits while striking out four and walking four. Cosart has a 4.41 ERA now, but he has only given up seven home runs in 116.1 innings this season.

Outfielder Melky Cabrera has two hits in his three at-bats versus Cosart with no walks and one strikeout. None of the Blue Jays have faced Cosart more than three times in their careers.
