Sunday afternoon, the Toronto Blue Jays and Brandon Morrow will take on the Cleveland Indians and Carlos Carrasco.  Morrow makes his 4th start of the season as Carrasco makes his 3rd.

Brandon Morrow had a short night of work in his last start, going just 3.2 innings.  In that outing, he allowed two runs on four hits with four walks and four strikeouts.  The short outing was due to the fact that he threw 98 pitches in 3.2 innings.  There was just no way he could make it the rest of the way with that high a pitch count so early in the game.  And with a 1–1 record and an ERA of 5.52, Morrow needs to focus more in his next start.

In 2013, Morrow started just 10 games with one start against the Indians.  In that game, he gave up one run on six hits in six innings with two walks and eight strikeouts but he failed to get the decision.  Against Morrow, Cleveland’s Carlos Santana owns a career .500 average.  Santana is 5 of 10 with two doubles, two RBIs and four walks.

Carlos Carrasco comes into this game with a 0-2 record and an ERA of 7.84 after just two starts on the season.  His last outing was dreadful as he surrendered five runs on six hits with three walks and five strikeouts in just 4.2 innings.  Carrasco has yet to make it past 6 innings in either of his starts this year.

Last season, Carrasco didn’t face the Blue Jays and in his career he has only faced 3 hitters on the Toronto roster.  He will however need to pitch around Melky Cabrera.  Cabrera is 4 of 8 with a double, a homer and 5 RBIs when facing Carrasco.
