On Friday night, rookie Marcus Stroman (7-3) will try to win his first game in three starts when he and the Toronto Blue Jays go up against Hector Noesi (6-8) and the Chicago White Sox.

Marcus Stroman was able to go nine innings for the first time in his career when he faced the Detroit Tigers last Saturday, but all he could get out of that start was a no decision. He allowed two runs on four hits in that game while walking three batters and striking out four. He currently has a 3.34 ERA on he has only given up five home runs in 86.1 innings.

White Sox veteran Adam Dunn is 1-for-1 against Stroman in his career with a double and two walks. Gordon Beckham is 0-for-3 against him with one strikeout.

Last Saturday, Hector Noesi had a very good start against the Seattle Mariners on the road despite only coming away with a no decision. He went 7.1 innings in that outing and gave up just one unearned run on five hits while striking out four and walking one. He now has a 4.67 ERA on the year and he has given up 126 hits in 121.1 innings of work.

Blue Jays outfielder Melky Cabrera has two hits in his three at-bats versus Noesi with an RBI and no strikeouts. Danny Valencia is 0-for-3 against him with a walk.
