Second-year starter Drew Hutchison will be on the mound for the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday and will face Clay Buchholz and the Boston Red Sox.

23-year-old Drew Hutchison pitched his first shutout of the season last week when he was able to beat the Texas Rangers on the road too pick up his second win of the season. In those nine innings of work, the right-hander allowed just three hits and struck out six while walking just one. He now has a 3.64 ERA on the year and has struck out 55 batters in 54.1 innings of work.

Red Sox designated hitter Mike Napoli has faced Hutchison three times in his career and has two walks, while David Ortiz is 0-for-3 against him with a strikeout.

Clay Buchholz ended up with a no decision in his start against the Minnesota Twins last Thursday after giving up three earned runs in six innings of work. He scattered 10 hits in that outing and struck out six while walking three. Buchholz has had a rough season to this point with his 2-3 record and his 6.17 ERA. He has given up 13.2 hits per nine innings this year, which is more than double what he gave up in 2013.

Adam Lind has done well over the years against Buchholz by notching 14 hits in 43 at-bats against him with three doubles and two home runs. Edwin Encarnacion has just one hit off of Buchholz in 21 career at-bats.
