Right-hander Yu Darvish will be on the mound for the Texas Rangers on Tuesday night and will be facing Phil Hughes of the Minnesota Twins.

Yu Darvish was able to win his fourth game of the season last week when he beat the Detroit Tigers on the road. In that game, he walked three batters, struck out six and gave up two runs runs in seven strong innings. He now has a 4-2 record and owns one of the best ERAs in baseball at 2.35. He has struck out 71 batters in 61.1 innings while walking just 19.

Jason Kubel has hit a triple off of Darvish in his career, but he is just 1-for-6 overall. Chris Herrmann is the only current Twin who has hit a home run off of Darvish.

Phil Hughes won his fifth game of the year for the Twins last week when he was able to go seven scoreless innings against the San Diego Padres. He scattered seven hits in that start and struck out seven without giving up a walk. He now has a 5-1 record on the season with a solid 3.15 ERA.

Alex Rios has been a big fan of facing Hughes over the years, going 11-for-24 against the right-hander with three doubles, a home run and five RBI. Elvis Andrus has just one hit in 13 at-bats against Hughes.
