Lisalverto Bonilla (1-0) will make the second start of his career for the Texas Rangers on Friday night when they face left-hander Hector Santiago (5-8) and the Los Angeles Angels.

In his first Major League start last week, Lisalverto Bonilla picked up the win by beating the Atlanta Braves at home. He went six innings in that outing and gave up two runs on four hits while walking four and striking out three. He now has a 4.66 ERA in 9.2 innings and he has struck out six batters.

Angels first baseman Efren Navarro has already faced Lisalverto Bonilla once and hit an RBI triple off of him. Right fielder Kole Calhoun also faced the right-hander once earlier this season and was struck out.

On Sunday, Hector Santiago could only make it through two innings against the Houston Astros and ended up losing the game. He gave up three runs on five hits in that start and walked a season-high five batters while striking out four. Santiago has a pretty good 3.55 ERA on the year and has struck out 103 hitters in 119 innings of work.

Angels outfielder Brennan Boesch doesn't have a hit against Santiago in five plate appearances, but he has been walked four times in those matchups. Those Angels who have faced Santiago are a combined 1-for-14 with six walks and three strikeouts.
