On Thursday night, Texas Rangers ace Yu Darvish will be going for his ninth win of the year when he goes up against seven-game winner Wei-Yin Chen and the Baltimore Orioles.

Yu Darvish pitched eight scoreless innings against the Minnesota Twins on Monday and ended up winning for the eighth time this season. He allowed just four hits in that outing and walked one while striking out 10 batters. Through 15 starts, Darvish has an 8-4 record with an excellent 2.42 ERA and he has given up just 86 hits and four home runs in 104.1 innings.

Orioles outfielder David Lough is has one hit in his three at-bats against Darvish with one strikeout. Delmon Young, who is the only other player on the Orioles who has faced Darvish, is 1-for-8 against him with a double and two strikeouts.

Wei-Yin Chen had his shortest outing of the season on Monday when he was beaten by the Tampa Bay Rays at home. He pitched just 3.1 innings in that start and allowed five earned runs on seven hits while walking two and striking out two. Chen has given up 104 hits in 92.1 innings this year, but he has only walked 16 batters.

Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus has three hits in his eight at-bats against Chen with a double and two walks. Shin-Soo Choo is 1-for-2 against him and is the only player on the Rangers who has hit a home run off of him.
