Veteran left-hander Joe Saunders will be hoping to finally pick up his first win of the season when he and the Texas Rangers face Ubaldo Jimenez and the Baltimore Orioles on Monday night.

Joe Saunders had his worst start of the season last week against the Detroit Tigers by giving up six earned runs in just four innings of work. He allowed seven hits in that outing and walked a season-high five batters while only striking out two. Saunders is now 0-4 through seven starts and he currently has a 5.19 ERA.

Orioles slugger Nelson Cruz has 10 hits in his 33 at-bats against Saunders with a double, two home runs and three RBI. First baseman Chris Davis has also hit a home run off of the left-hander, but he is just 4-for-21 overall against him with seven strikeouts.

Last Wednesday, Ubaldo Jimenez took on the Chicago White Sox and ended up with a no decision after giving up four runs in 6.1 innings of work. He allowed eight hits in that game and struck out six while walking two. Jimenez has a 2-8 record on the year with a 4.70 ERA and he has not won a game since back on May 8.

Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre has eight hits in 20 at-bats versus Jimenez with two doubles, two home runs and five RBI. Outfielder Alex Rios is just 2-for-17 against the right-hander with four strikeouts.
