Right-hander Chris Archer will be going for his sixth win when the Tampa Bay Rays face Phil Hughes and the Minnesota Twins on Sunday afternoon.

In his last start, fireballer Chris Archer only made it through five innings against the Toronto Blue Jays, but took the no decision rather than the loss. He gave up five runs in that game and walked three batters while finishing with seven strikeouts. Archer has been pretty solid for the Rays so far this season, going 5-5 with a 3.41 ERA and he has only allowed five home runs to be hit off of him in 113.1 innings.

First baseman Kendrys Morales has three hits in five at-bats against Archer and is the only player on the Twins who has hit a home run off of him. All-Star Brian Dozier is hitless against Archer in five at-bats.

In his start against the Colorado Rockies last Sunday, Phil Hughes was able pick up his 10th win of the year despite giving up five runs in five innings of work. He allowed 10 hits in that outing and walked no one while striking out six. Hughes is now 10-5 on the season with a 3.92 ERA and he has only walked 11 batters in 121.2 innings.

Rays outfielder Matthew Joyce has seven hits in his 15 at-bats against Hughes with a double, a triple, two home runs and five RBI.
