Chris Archer will be looking to pick up his fourth win of the season on Tuesday when he and the Tampa Bay Rays face Henderson Alvarez and the Miami Marlins.

Chris Archer pitched pretty well for the third straight start last week, but he could only get a no decision against the Toronto Blue Jays. He ended up going six innings in that start and allowed two runs on six hits while walking two and striking out seven. Archer has a 4.00 ERA this season and has struck out 59 hitter in 63 innings.

Catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia is the only player on the Marlins that Archer has faced and the right-hander has held him hitless in five at-bats and he has struck him out four times.

In his start against the Washington Nationals last Wednesday, Henderson Alvarez picked up his third consecutive no decision. He actually pitched very well while he was in the game, going five scoreless innings and giving up just five hits while striking out two. Alvarez was able to drop his ERA down to 2.97 in that start and he has only given up four home runs in 66.2 innings this season.

Ben Zobrist is one guy on the Rays that Alvarez does not like to face. The second baseman is 6-for-14 against him with three doubles, two RBI and just one strikeout.
