Veteran left-hander Erik Bedard will be making the start for the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday night when they face Tyler Skaggs and the Los Angeles Angels.

Erik Bedard pitched six shutout innings against the Cleveland Indians last Saturday and was able to pick up his second win of the season. He gave up just one hit in that game and struck out four while walking two. His ERA on the season is now down to 3.38 and he hasn't given up a single home run through 26.2 innings.

Raul Ibanez has walked seven times against Bedard in 19 plate-appearances, but he's hit just .083 against him with five strikeouts. Shortstop John McDonald is 4-for-13 against the lefty with a double and three RBI in his career.

Tyler Skaggs had one of his better starts of the season last weekend against the Toronto Blue Jays and was able to pick up his third win of the season. He matched his season-high of eight innings pitched in that outing and gave up just two earned runs on four hits while walking none and striking out four. He brought his ERA down to 4.14 and has only given up 39 hits through 45.2 innings.

Logan Forsythe has the most at-bats of any of the Ray's hitters against Skaggs and is 3-for-5 against him with a double and an RBI.
