David Price will be going for his fifth win of the season when the Tampa Bay Rays face 27-year-old Matt Shoemaker and the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday afternoon.

David Price won for the fourth time in his last start by pitching a complete game against the Seattle Mariners. He gave up just one earned run through those nine innings and tied his season-high in strikeouts with 12. His ERA dropped down to 4.02 he currently leads the league with an 11.67 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

Price has done well in his career against the Angles, including holding second baseman Howie Kendrick to just five hits in 23 at-bats while striking him out nine times. Chris Iannetta is the only Angel who has hit a home run off of Price.

Matt Shoemaker made his first start of the season last week against the Philadelphia Phillies and was able to pick up his first Major League win. He went five innings in that game and gave up two runs on three hits while striking out three and walking one. He now has a 3.86 ERA through 11.2 innings both out of the bullpen and as a starter.

The Rays can expect to see a 92 mph fastball and an 83 mph slider from Shoemaker. He throws his fastball about 55 percent of the time and the slider about 21 percent of the time.
