Right-hander Alex Cobb will be getting the start for the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night and will be facing Houston Astros starter Collin McHugh.

Alex Cobb's losing streak reached three games last Saturday against the Seattle Mariners when he was only able to go 4.1 innings and gave up a season-high seven earned runs. In that game, he allowed 10 hits while walking one and striking out just two batters. With that rough outing, Cobb had his ERA go up more than a run to 4.39, but he has still only given up four home runs in 41 innings this year.

Astros first baseman Chris Carter has just one hit in his five at-bats against Cobb, but he hasn't been struck out by him yet. Outfielder Dexter Fowler is the only other Astros who has faced Cobb and he is 0-for-4 against him with two strikeouts.

Collin McHugh could only make it through 4.1 innings against the Minnesota Twins on Sunday, but he ended up with a no decision because the Rays ended up winning 14-5. McHugh has a 4-3 record this season and has struck out 9.9 batters per nine innings while only giving up four home runs.

In one at-bats against McHugh, veteran outfielder David DeJesus has a single and two RBI. All of the other Rays will be going up against the right-hander for the first time in Friday.
