Alex Cobb (10-8), who has a 1.65 ERA in four starts this month, will be on the mound for the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday when they take on Danny Salazar (6-8) and the Cleveland Indians.

In his last start, Alex Cobb gave up just one run in seven innings of work against the Boston Red Sox on the road and picked up the win. He allowed just five base hits in that outing and walked two batters while striking out three. Cobb has only given up 132 hits in 160.1 innings this year and he now has a very solid 2.75 ERA.

Indians first baseman Carlos Santana has three hits in seven at-bats against Cobb in his career with a walk and a double. Mike Aviles is hitless in seven plate appearances against him with no walks and two strikeouts.

Danny Salazar had a rough outing on Tuesday against the Kansas City Royals at home and ended up taking the loss. He gave up five runs in 4.2 innings of work that day while walking three batters and striking out eight. The right-hander has a 4.25 ERA this season and he has struck out 9.8 batters per nine innings.

The Rays' hitters will be going up against Salazar for the first time on Sunday afternoon. So far this season, the right-hander has held left-handed batters to just a .246 batting average in 167 at-bats.
