On Saturday night, Alex Colome (1-0) will be making his third start of the season for the Tampa Bay Rays when they go up against right-hander Carlos Carrasco (8-6) and the Cleveland Indians.

Alex Colome made his last start for the Rays on September 15 when he took a no decision against the New York Yankees. He went 6.2 innings in that start and gave up no runs on six base hits while striking out four batters and walking one. Colome currently has a 3.63 ERA on the year and he has walked nine batters in 17.1 innings.

All of the Indians' hitters will be going up against Colome for the first time on Saturday night. So far this year, the right-hander has held left-handed batters to just a .207 batting average with a .593 OPS.

Carlos Carrasco gave up just two runs in 7.1 innings against the Kansas City Royals in his last start, but he still ended up with the loss. He allowed seven base hits in that game and walked one batter while striking out nine. On the season, Carrasco has a very solid 2.64 ERA and he has struck out 130 batters in 126.1 innings of work.

Rays third baseman Evan Longoria is 2-for-6 against Carrasco in his career with a solo home run and two strikeouts. Outfielder Matthew Joyce is just 1-for-6 against him with no walks and one strikeout.
