The Tampa Bay Rays will send Chris Archer to the mound on Sunday afternoon to take on Tony Cingrani and the Cincinnati Reds.

Chris Archer wasn't able to get a decision against the Kansas City Royals in his second start of the season, but he certainly pitched well in the game. The 25-year-old righty gave up just six hits in seven innings and didn't let in any earned runs. His ERA through two games is 1.38 now and he has 11 strikeouts and four walks in 13 innings pitched.

Catcher Brayan Pena is the only current Reds' player who has faced Archer. Pena has one walk and one strikeout with no hits.

Tony Cingrani had a very good first start, but his second one didn't go quite as well. Against the St. Louis Cardinals, Cingrani could only go four innings after giving up three hits and four walks, which led to three earned runs. He just didn't have his command on the night and ended up taking the loss. He still has a 2.45 ERA on the season, but he will be hoping to pitch against the Rays the way he did in his first start if he is going to end up with the win on Sunday.

Cingrani will be facing the Rays for the first time in his career, so most of the players will have to learn about his repertoire on the fly. Logan Forsythe has gone up against Cingrani twice without a hit.
