On Sunday afternoon, David Price and the Tampa Bay Rays will be going up against Scott Carroll, who is set to make his Major League debut for the Chicago White Sox.

David Price pitched his first complete game of the season last Tuesday when he was able to beat the Minnesota Twins. The Twins got three runs off of him on six hits, but Price was able to strike out 12 batters and walked just one in the game. Price now has a 4.04 ERA, but he is striking out over 10 batters per nine innings and has walked just four batters all season.

Price has done pretty well against the White Sox over the years, but one guy who has been able to hit him consistently is first baseman Paul Konerko. Konerko has 10 hits in 20 at-bats versus Price with two home runs, a double and seven RBI.

Price has dominated against Alexei Ramirez and Gordon Beckham, though, who have gone a combined 7-for-45 in their matchups with him.

29-year-old right-hander Scott Carroll earned his first call-up to the bigs by going 3-1 in the minors this season with a 1.57 ERA through four starts. Through 23 innings, he had given up just 18 hits and was striking out just over five batters per nine innings. He will need to work on his command (3.52 BB/9), though, if he wants to have any success at the top level.
