Tampa Bay Rays right-hander Chris Archer will be on the mound on Friday night and will be facing Erik Johnson and the Chicago White Sox.

Chris Archer was able to get back on track last Saturday when he was able to pitch 6.2 strong innings against the New York Yankees to pick up his second win of the season. He gave up just two hits in that game while striking out four and walking none. Archer's ERA of 3.65 doesn't look very impressive, but his 1.92 FIP leads the majors.

No one on the White Sox has faced Archer more than once, so they will have to learn on the fly how to catch up to his 94-96 mph fastball and his high-rated slider.

Erik Johnson walked five batters in his outing against the Texas Rangers on Sunday, but he was still able to pick up his first win of the season. Those walks didn't hurt him because he only gave up one hit and one earned run in the game while striking out two. He was able to drop his season ERA to 5.32, but he's going to need to have better command of his pitches if he wants to stay in the White Sox rotation.

Johnson has never faced the Rays in his career, but they can look forward to a 90 mph fastball, an 86 mph slider and a 73 mph curveball.
