On Sunday afternoon, Alex Cobb (7-6) will be looking to extend his undefeated streak to eight games when he and the Tampa Bay Rays take on Travis Wood (7-9) and the Chicago Cubs.

Alex Cobb pitched pretty well in his start against the Oakland Athletics on Monday and ended up with a no decision. He went 5.2 innings in that start and gave up two runs on eight base hits while walking four batters and striking out four. He now has a 3.52 ERA on the year and he has struck out 96 batters in 102.1 innings.

Cobb will be facing the Rays for the first time in his career on Sunday. So far this year, he has held right-handed batters to just a .210 batting average against him through 184 at-bats.

On Tuesday against the Colorado Rockies, Travis Wood pitched six innings and ended up with a no decision. He allowed three runs on seven hits in that outing and walked three batters while striking out two. He has a 5.08 ERA on the season now and he has walked 3.9 batters per nine innings, which is the worst walk rate of his career.

James Loney and Logan Forsythe are the only player son the Cubs who have gotten the chance to face Wood and are a combined 0-for-11 against him with two walks and no strikeouts.
