On Thursday night, Jeremy Hellickson (1-4) will attempt to pick up his first win since back on August 6 when he and the Tampa Bay Rays face off against second-year starter Allen Webster (4-3) and the Boston Red Sox.

Last Friday, Jeremy Hellickson only made it through 4.1 innings in his start against the Chicago White Sox and ended up taking the loss. He gave up four runs on seven base hits in that start and walked two batters while striking out one. Hellickson now has a 3.96 ERA on the season and he has struck out 52 batters in 61.1 innings on the mound.

Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz has gotten 10 hits off of Hellickson in 26 at-bats with two doubles, a triple and three home runs. Mike Napoli has just one hit in 13 at-bats against him with one walks and six strikeouts.

Allen Webster pitched 5.2 innings against the Baltimore Orioles last Friday and finished with a no decision. He gave up one run on seven base hits in that outing and walked one batter while striking out three. He has only given up three home runs in 52 innings this year, but he does have a high 5.54 ERA.

Rays veteran Ben Zobrist has one hit in four at-bats versus Webster in his career with two walks and two RBI. Outfielder Matthew Joyce is 0-for-5 against Webster with a walk and three strikeouts.
