Tampa Bay Rays starter Alex Cobb will try to end his current two-game losing streak on Sunday afternoon when he takes on Miguel Gonzalez and the Baltimore Orioles.

Alex Cobb had a tough outing against the Pittsburgh Pirates in his last start and ended up suffering his sixth loss of the year. He pitched five innings in that outing and allowed six earned runs on six hits while walking three and striking out two. Cobb now has a 2-6 record, but he has only given up six home runs in 59.1 innings of work this season.

Orioles All-Star outfielder Adam Jones has just three hits in his 16 at-bats against Cobb with a walk and four strikeouts. None of the current Orioles have been able to hit a home run off of Cobb yet.

On Tuesday, Miguel Gonzalez lost his fifth game of the season after being beaten by the Chicago White Sox in Baltimore. He pitched five innings in that game and allowed three runs on nine hits while striking out just one and walking one. Gonzalez is giving up 10 hits per nine innings this season, which is nearly two more hits per nine innings than last season.

Rays outfielder Desmond Jennings has six hits in his 22 at-bats against Gonzalez with four of those hits being home runs. Veteran Ben Zobrist is just 3-for-24 against him with five strikeouts.
