St. Louis Cardinals starter Shelby Miller (8-8) will be going for just his second win in two months on Monday night when he faces Tom Koehler (7-9) and the Miami Marlins.

Right-hander Shelby Miller pitched seven strong innings against the Boston Red Sox, but he had to settle for a no decision rather than a win. He allowed just one run on four base hits in that game while walking one and striking out four. Miller now has a 3.99 ERA on the season and he has only given up 118 hits in 128.2 innings on the mound.

Marlins first baseman Garrett Jones has seven hits in 13 at-bats against Miller with two doubles, two home runs and five RBI. None of the other Marlins have faced Miller more than three times in their careers.

Right-hander Tom Koehler lost his second game in a row last Wednesday when he was beaten by the Pittsburgh Pirates on the road. He allowed four runs in six innings of work that day while walking four and striking out four. He has only given up 118 hits in 137.1 innings this year and currently has a 3.80 ERA.

Cardinals infielder Daniel Descalso has two hits in three plate appearances against Koehler with a double and an RBI. Veteran Jhonny Peralta is 1-for-3 against him with a double and an RBI in his career.
