On Monday night, Lance Lynn will try to pick up his eighth win of the year for the St. Louis Cardinals when he goes toe to toe with Jhoulys Chacin and the Colorado Rockies.

On Wednesday, Lance Lynn pitched a pretty good game against the New York Mets, but he ended up taking his fifth loss of the season in a game the Mets ended up winning 3-2. Lynn went six innings in that start and allowed two runs on five hits while walking a season-high four batters and striking out five. He is 7-5 this season with a 3.15 ERA and he has only given up six home runs in 91.1 innings of work.

Wilin Rosario has the most at-bats against Lynn of all of the Rockies and he is 2-for-6 against him with one strikeout. DJ LeMahieu is 1-for-4 against him with three strikeouts.

In Jhoulys Chacin's ninth start of the season last Tuesday, he ended up suffering his fifth loss of the year when he was beaten by the Los Angeles Dodgers on the road. He pitched six innings in that game and allowed three runs on seven hits, including two home runs, while walking three and striking out five. Chacin has walked 4.2 batters per nine innings, which is much higher than his walk rate from 2013.

Cardinals outfielder Jon Jay has three hits in eight plate appearances against Chacin in his career with a home run and two RBI.
