St. Louis Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright, who is coming off of his best start of the season, will take on Mike Leake and the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday night.

Adam Wainwright pitched a complete game one-hitter on Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks and picked up his seventh win of the season. Besides that one hit that Wainwright gave up in the fourth inning of the game, he was perfect throughout and ended up with nine strikeouts in the victory. The right-hander is 7-2 on the season with a sparkling 1.85 ERA and he has given up just 48 hits in 73 innings.

Outfielder Jay Bruce has done very well against Wainwright in his career by going 11-for-30 with a double, two home runs and eight RBI. Zack Cozart is just 4-for-22 against him with four strikeouts.

Mike Leake certainly pitched well enough to get the win against the Washington Nationals last week, but he ended up with a no decision in game the Reds ended up winning 4-3. He went 6.1 innings in that start and allowed just one run on seven hits while walking one and striking out four. Through nine starts, Leake has a 2.91 ERA and has allowed just 54 hits in 65 innings.

St. Louis left fielder Matt Holliday has 11 hits in 26 at-bats versus Leake with three doubles, a home run and six RBI.
