Jake Arrieta will come off of the DL on Saturday and make his first start of the season for the Chicago Cubs when they face Michael Wacha and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Jake Arrieta did very well for the Cubs after he was traded to them from the Baltimore Orioles last season. He's been out all season with inflammation in his throwing shoulder, but if he is 100% healthy, he should help their rotation. In nine starts for the Cubs last season, Arrieta had a 3.66 ERA and only gave up 34 hits in 51.2 innings.

Veteran Jhonny Peralta has only faced Arrieta six times so far in his career, but he has already shown that he can hit him by going 3-for-6 with two doubles and and RBI while facing Arrieta. Mark Ellis is just 1-for-5 against the right-hander, but he has three walks and three RBI, as well.

Michael Wacha picked up the no decision in his start against the Milwaukee Brewers this past Monday. He went 6.1 innings in that outing and gave up three runs on eight hits while striking out nine and walking two. His ERA is still a fantastic 2.48 through six starts and he has struck out 10.9 batters per nine innings.

Cubs catcher Welington Castillo is one player in the lineup who has proven that he can hit Wacha, going 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI.
