On Sunday, Lance Lynn (11-8) will hope to get a win for the first time in four starts when the St. Louis Cardinals face Kevin Gausman (6-3) and the Baltimore Orioles.

Right-hander Lance Lynn pitched well enough to get a win against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday, but instead he finished with a no decision. He gave up just two runs (one earned) in seven innings that day while walking one and striking out four. On the year, he now has a 2.89 ERA and he has only given up seven home runs in 140 innings of work.

Orioles designated hitter Delmon Young has two hits in six plate appearances against Lynn with two RBI. David Lough is 1-for-2 against him with a walk and a triple.

Second-year starter Kevin Gausman had a decent start against the Washington Nationals on Monday and came away with his second win in a row. He pitched six innings in that outing and allowed three runs on eight base hits while striking out three batters and walking two. He has only given up three home runs in 62 innings this year and he currently owns a 3.77 ERA.

Cardinals shortstop Jhonny Peralta has gone up against Gausman twice in his career and has hit one single off of him. None of the other Cardinals have gone up against Gausman yet.
