Adam Wainwright will try to get back on the winning track when he and the St. Louis Cardinals face Mike Minor and the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday.

Adam Wainwright had by far his worst start of the season last Friday when he was beaten by the Chicago Cubs. He was only able to go five innings in that game and gave up a season-high six earned runs on 10 hits while striking out four and walking two. His ERA jumped up nearly a full run to 2.16 in the loss.

Chris Johnson has had more success than any of the current Braves against Wainwright by going 6-for-18 with a triple and an RBI. Dan Uggla has never done well against Wainwright, getting just five hits against him in 25 at-bats.

Mike Minor did well in his first start of the season last Friday, but he ended up taking the loss against the San Francisco Giants despite giving up just two runs. He made it through six innings and made 80 pitches in the outing and gave up seven hits while striking out four. The two runs he gave up were both off of solo home runs.

Minor has held Cardinals' All-Star catcher Yadier Molina to just three hits in 12-at-bats, but one of those hits was a home run. Matt Holliday has done very well against Minor in his career, going 3-for-9 with a double, a homer and four RBI.
