Turner Field will be the home to a showdown between the St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves on Monday night. The Cardinals will turn to right hander Shelby Miller for the start, while the Braves will counter with right hander Aaron Harang.

The 23-year-old Miller has done well for the Cardinals this season, going 3-2 with a 3.15 ERA. As a rookie a year ago, he was 15-9 with a 3.06 ERA and in the early part of this season, appears to be primed to have another remarkable season for the Cardinals. Against the current roster of Braves, he has given up 9 hits in 36 at-bats (.250) with home runs to Freddie Freeman and Jason Heyward.

Through his first 5 starts of the season, there was no pitcher in Major League Baseball that was doing as well as Harang was. He was 3-1 with a 0.85, allowing just 3 earned runs in 31 2/3 innings. In his last start, he fell back to reality, allowing 9 earned runs in 4 2/3 innings, raising his ERA to 2.97. With Atlanta’s struggles with injury at the position, they will need to see him turn it around against the Cardinals. Against the current St. Louis roster, Harang has pitched well, allowing just 27 hits in 113 at-bats (.239). Jhonny Peralta is hitting well against him, while Yadier Molina and Matt Holliday have struggled.
