Big right-hander Michael Wacha (5-6), who has a 6.17 ERA this month, will get the start for the St. Louis Cardinals when they go up against Trevor Cahill (3-12) and the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday night.

Last Saturday, Michael Wacha made it through 4.2 innings against the Cincinnati Reds and finished with a no decision. He gave up two runs on six base hits in that game and walked no one while striking out one. Wacha has only given up six home runs in 102 innings this season and he now has a 3.18 ERA.

He allowed 10 base hits in that start and struck out eight batters without walking anyone. Cahill has a high 5.55 ERA on the year now and he has given up 117 hits in 105.1 innings.

Cardinals outfielder Matt Holliday has four hits in 10 at-bats against Cahill in his career with three walks, three home runs and four RBI. Peter Bourjos is just 1-for-6 against him in his career with no walks and three strikeouts.
