The Seattle Mariners will travel to Globe Life Park in Arlington to take on the Texas Rangers on Wednesday. The Mariners will send Chris Young to the mound to take on Nick Tepesch for the Rangers.

After winning three straight, Young took his first loss of the season on Friday when he faced the Minnesota Twins. Young gave up five earned runs over seven innings. He surrendered two home runs and 10 hits on the night on the way to a 4-5 loss. The loss put Young’s record at 3-1 with a 3.22 ERA. Young will look to get back on track when faces the Rangers on Wednesday.

Young hasn’t faced many current Texas Rangers but has fared well against the ones he has faced. He has faced Adrian Beltre 17 times only giving up three hits and striking Beltre out five time.

Nick Tepesch will get his second start of the season on Wednesday. He currently holds a 0-0 record with a 1.69 ERA. In his last start against the Houston Astros, Tepesch pitched 5.1 innings giving up one earned run on two hits while striking out eight and walking three. Tepesch will look to get his first win of the season on Wednesday.

Current Texas batters are hitting .409 when facing Tepesch. Kyle Seager is 4-for-7 against Tepesch with three doubles.
