Marlins Park will be home to an interleague showdown between the American League West division Seattle Mariners and the National League East division Miami Marlins. The Mariners will send left hander Roenis Elias to the mound to take on right hander Henderson Alvarez.

Elias, the native of Guantanamo, Cuba, will be making his 4th start of his career. In his career against the current Mariners, Alvarez has allowed 14 hits in 43 at-bats with Robinson Cano having the most success (6-for-11, 2 home runs, 5 RBIs).
