On Sunday, veteran starter Chris Young will try to snap his two-game losing skid when he and the Seattle Mariners face Tyler Skaggs and the Los Angeles Angels.

Chris Young pitched six decent innings against the Oakland Athletics last Sunday, but he ended up losing for the sixth time this season. He gave up three runs on five hits in that outing and walked one while striking out two. Young only has 63 strikeouts in 111.1 innings this year, but he does have an 8-6 record with a solid 3.15 ERA.

First baseman Albert Pujols is the only player on the Angels who has hit a home run off of Young, but he is just 3-for-14 overall against him with three strikeouts.

Tyler Skaggs was able to pick up the win against the Texas Rangers on the road last Sunday, but he didn't pitch particularly well in that game. He went five innings and gave up six runs in that start while walking one batter and striking out three. Skaggs is now 5-5 with a 4.50 ERA and he has only given up seven home runs on 96 innings of work.

Mariners All-Star Robinson Cano has three hits in his four at-bats against Skaggs with no strikeouts and two RBI. Stefen Romero is hitless against the left-hander in his three at-bats and has been struck out twice.
