On Saturday, Seattle Mariners ace Felix Hernandez will go for his 12th win of the year when he goes up against fellow 11-game winner Garrett Richards and the Los Angeles Angels.

All-Star Felix Hernandez had another solid outing last week when he was able to defeat the Oakland Athletics at home. He went eight innings in that start and gave up just two runs on six hits while walking two and striking out nine. He is now 11-2 with a 2.12 ERA and he has only given up five home runs on 144.1 innings of work.

The one player on the Angels who has done well against Hernandez is fellow All-Star Mike Trout, who is 17-for-44 against him with two doubles, two triples, two home runs and 11 RBI.

Right-hander Garrett Richards won his fifth consecutive game last week when he was able to beat the Texas Rangers on the road. He pitched seven shutout innings in that outing and gave up just five hits while striking out eight batters and walking two. Richards is now 11-2 on the year with a 2.55 ERA and he has struck out 127 batters in 123.1 innings.

None of the Mariners have been able to hit a home run off of Richards yet, but third baseman Kyle Seager is 6 for 16 against him.
