On Friday night, Felix Hernandez will be hoping to get his first win since April 11 when he and the Seattle Mariners go up against Brad Peacock and the Houston Astros.

Felix Hernandez had a below-average start by his standards against the Texas Rangers last Saturday, and ended up with a no decision. He pitched six innings in that game and gave up three runs on five hits while striking out four and walking three. He still has a solid 2.40 ERA and is striking out over 10 batters per nine innings.

Jose Altuve is one of the only a few Astros hitters who has hit Hernandez, going 3-for-9 with a triple against the former Cy Young winner. Chris Carter is just 1-for-7 against King Felix with four strikeouts.

Brad Peacock made his second start and sixth appearance of the season last Friday when he took on the Oakland Athletics. He went five innings in that game and gave up five runs on five hits while striking out three and walking a season-high six batters. His ERA actually dropped to 5.95, but he has now walked 17 in 19.2 innings.

Third baseman Kyle Seager has just three hits off of Peacock in 11 plate appearances, but one of those hits was a home run. Justin Smoak is 3-for-8 against the right-hander with a double and and RBI off of him.
