On Friday night, Chris Young (12-8) will try to pick up his first September win of the season when he and the Seattle Mariners face Dallas Keuchel (11-9) and the Houston Astros.

Over the weekend, Chris Young pitched a solid six innings against the Oakland Athletics at home, but he still ended up taking the loss. He gave up just two runs on four hits in that start while striking out five hitters and walking two. Young has only given up 135 hits in 162 innings this season and he currently owns a 3.33 ERA.

Astros outfielder Dexter Fowler has been able to get four hits off of Young in 10 at-bats with three walks and an RBI. All-Star second baseman Jose Altuve is 0-for-7 against Young with no walks and two strikeouts.

Left-hander Dallas Keuchel won his career-best 11th game on Sunday when he beat the Los Angeles Angels on the road. He pitched seven strong innings in that game and gave up just one run while walking one hitter and striking out four. Keuchel now has an even 3.00 ERA and he has only given up 11 home runs in 192 innings.

Mariners designated hitter Corey Hart is 3-for-12 against Keuchel in his career with two home runs and four RBI. Brad Miller has just one hit in eight at-bats against him with a walk and four strikeouts.
