Chris Young (9-6) is coming off of his strongest start of the year and will look to use that momentum when he and the Seattle Mariners face Zach McAllister (3-6) and the Cleveland Indians on Thursday night.

Veteran starter Chris Young pitched seven shutout innings versus the Baltimore Orioles at home last weekend and picked up his ninth win of the year. He gave up just two hits in that start and walked three batters while striking out eight. Young is enjoying one of his best seasons this year and currently has a solid 3.04 ERA.

Indians first baseman Nick Swisher has four hits in his 12 at-bats against Young with two doubles, a home run and two RBI. Outfielder Michael Brantley is hitless against the big right-hander with no walks and an RBI.

Last Saturday, Zach McAllister had a very rough start against the Kansas City Royals and ended up losing for the sixth time on the season. He went just four innings in that game and gave up six runs (five earned) on eight base hits while striking out three and walking two. McAllister raised his ERA to 5.65 with that loss, but his 3.89 WHIP suggests that he has been pretty unlucky this year.

Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager has six hits in 14 plate appearances versus McAllister with three doubles and an RBI. Dustin Ackley is just 3-for-13 against him with a walk and three RBI.
