Saturday afternoon, Felix Hernandez gets the call for the Seattle Mariners as they take on Jose Quintana and the Chicago White Sox. Hernandez makes his 19 ^th start as Quintana makes his 18^th.

Felix Hernandez picked up his 2^nd straight win in his last outing to boost his record to 10 - 2 with a 2.10 ERA. In the win, Hernandez hurled 8 shutout innings and allowed just a hit and 3 walks while striking out 9. With the exception of a few bad starts, "King Felix" has been nearly unhittable this season and he looks like he could be chasing another Cy Young award. He is already well ahead of his results from 2013 when he was just 12 - 10 with a 3.04 ERA in 31 starts.

Last season, Hernandez was 1 - 1 with an ERA of 5.27 in 2 starts against the White Sox. He will have to keep an eye on Paul Konerko though. Konerko is batting just .25 against Hernandez but he has 2 homers and 4 RBIs.

Jose Quintana got his 2^nd straight victory in his last start and that took his record to 5- 7 with a 3.44 ERA. In that victory, Quintana threw 7 innings of shutout ball and surrendered just 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 7. Quintana might finally be finding his form and should be able to surpass his numbers from last season when he was 9 - 7 with a 3.51 ERA in 33 starts.

In 2013, Quintana escaped with a no-decision in his only start against the Mariners after allowing 6 runs on 8 hits (including a homer) in 4 innings. Seattle's Kyle Seager is just 1 for 4 against Quintana but he has a homer and 3 RBIs.
