On Sunday afternoon, Stephen Strasburg (10-10) will be going for his third win in a row when he and the Washington Nationals face Ryan Vogelsong (7-9) and the San Francisco Giants.

Stephen Strasburg pitched eight strong innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday and was able to pick up the win. He gave up just one run on three base hits in that outing while walking one and striking out four. Strasburg now has a 3.41 ERA on the year and he has 198 strikeouts in 171.1 innings of work.

Giants outfielder Hunter Pence has hit a home run off of Strasburg in his career, but he is just 2-for-10 overall against him. Catcher Buster Posey is 3-for-10 against the right-hander in his career with a double and five strikeouts.

Ryan Vogelsong had a short outing against the Chicago Cubs last Tuesday and ended up taking the loss. He went four innings in that start and allowed two runs on three hits while striking out four batters and walking two. Vogelsong has only given up 12 home runs in 144.2 innings of work this year and he now has a 3.73 ERA.

Nationals outfielder Denard Span has five hits in 10 at-bats against Vogelsong in his career with two doubles and a triple. Ian Desmond is 3-for-7 against him with a double, a triple and five RBI.
