Veteran right-hander Ryan Vogelsong will be going for his third consecutive win on Thursday when the San Francisco Giants take on Jaime Garcia and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Ryan Vogelsong picked up his third win of the season when he was able to pitch 6.2 scoreless innings against the Minnesota Twins last week. He allowed just three hits in that game and struck out seven while only walking one. Vogelsong now has a 3-2 record on the year through 10 starts and owns a solid 3.20 ERA.

Veteran second baseman Mark Ellis has done well against Vogelsong over the years by going 7-for-18 with two doubles and an RBI. Cather Yadier Molina has just three hits against him in 14 at-bats.

In his second start of the season, Jaime Garcia was able to get his first win by beating the Cincinnati Reds on the road last week. He pitched 5.2 innings in that start and allowed just two runs on six hits while waking no one and striking out seven. Through 12.2 innings of work, Garcia has struck out 12 and has yet to give up a walk.

Giants outfielder Hunter Pence has five hits in 17 at-bats against Garcia with a double, a triple, a home run and two RBI. Power hitter Michael Morse is 4-for-9 against the right-hander with two doubles and two walks.
