On Sunday afternoon, San Francisco Giants starter Tim Hudson will be looking to improve his 5-2 record when he faces Lance Lynn and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Tim Hudson won his fifth game of the season last week when he beat the Chicago Cubs at home. He pitched seven scoreless innings in that start and gave up just six hits while walking no one and striking out five. Hudson's ERA dipped down to a fantastic 1.92 and he has only allowed four home runs in 70.1 innings of work this season.

Cardinals veteran outfielder Matt Holliday has 24 at-bats against Hudson in his career and has a .375 batting average against him with a double and five RBI. Catcher Yadier Molina is 6-for-15 against Hudson with a double, five walks and five RBI.

Big right-hander Lance Lynn threw his first career shutout on Tuesday when he beat the New York Yankees at home. He allowed just five hits in those nine innings of work and walked three while striking out two. Lynn now has a 6-2 record on the season and has struck out 61 batters in 69 innings.

Giants outfielder Tyler Colvin has struggled against Lynn in their seven matchups by only getting one hit and striking out once. Catcher Buster Posey is 1-for-3 against the right-hander and is the only player on the Giants who has hit a home run off of him.
