Right-hander Matt Cain will be on the mound for the San Francisco Giants on Saturday afternoon and will face Michael Wacha of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Matt Cain was pulled early in his start against the Colorado Rockies last week because he had an issue with his leg. He threw just 36 pitches in three innings in that outing before he was pulled, which was a shame for him because he was perfect through three with three strikeouts. He has a 1-3 record on the year, but he also has a solid 3.66 ERA and has given up just 40 hits in 46.2 innings.

Matt Holliday has hit three home runs off of Cain in his career, but he is just 8-for-43 overall against him with 12 strikeouts. Outfielder Jon Jay doesn't have an extra-base hit against Cain yet, but he is 6-for-11 against him.

22-year-old Michael Wacha made his 11th start of the season on Monday against the New York Yankees and ended up with a no decision after giving up three earned runs in seven innings of work. He allowed just four hits in that start and walked two while striking out three. Wacha has a fantastic 2.76 ERA through 67.1 innings this year and has struck out 68 batters.

This will be the first time that any of the Yankees' hitters will face Wacha.
